The Digital Citizenship Congress raises important topics and presents itself as a milestone for inclusion and security in Brazil.

Brasília, September 2024 – The Digital Citizenship Congress, held at the Royal Tulip in Brasília from September 16 to 18, 2024, was a success and marked the beginning of a new phase for Brazilian society. The event, organized by the Brazilian Association of Digital Identification Technology Companies (ABRID), received support from the International Institute of Identification (InterID) and other relevant entities such as the Digital Government Secretariat (SGD), Gov.br, ITI, Federal Police (PF), Federal Revenue Service (RFB), Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), and the Federal Government.

In its inaugural edition, the Digital Citizenship Congress attracted over 1,500 registrants, 48 speakers, 16 sponsors, and 20 institutional supporters, along with the participation of all Heads of Official Identification Agencies from the 27 units of the Federation, public state secretariats and institutions, public and private companies, civil society, and academia.

Célio Ribeiro, Executive President of ABRID and founder and President Director of InterID, emphasized the importance of the event as a significant step in promoting inclusion and full citizenship, contributing to a fairer and more equitable Brazilian society. “I did what I love to do: I contributed and collaborated with my dedication and love for the theme so that everyone can be part of this great construction,” stated the executive.

With the slogan “CIN, OUR GREATEST INSTRUMENT OF CITIZENSHIP,” the second edition of the event is already scheduled to take place on the same dates next year, from September 16 to 18, 2025.
