On December 18 and 19, Brasília hosted the official launch of the 2025 Digital Citizenship Congress, established as the largest event in the field of identification and citizenship in Brazil. Organized by ABRID – the Brazilian Association of Digital Identification Technology Companies, the launch included the formal presentation of the event to various supporters.
Célio Ribeiro, ABRID’s executive president, officially handed over the institutional presentation to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP), represented by the Secretary of Digital Rights, Lilian Cintra de Melo.

The 2025 Digital Citizenship Congress is supported by several federal government institutions and promises to be a major gathering on identification and citizenship.
Highlighting this year’s theme, Célio Ribeiro stated:
“National Integration will be the central focus of the 2025 Digital Citizenship Congress. Our goal is to ensure that all Brazilians have access to secure and inclusive civil identification, efficiently and modernly connecting citizens to their rights and services.”
The launch marked the beginning of a journey that will culminate from September 23 to 25, 2025, in Brasília, featuring debates, panels, and practical demonstrations on the future of digital citizenship in Brazil.
