On February 28th, at the invitation of the president of the National Institute of Information Technology (ITI), Enylson Camolesi, I had the pleasure of meeting with his board in my capacity as the CEO of Abrid, to provide an overview of the identification process in the Federation Units.
Based on information gathered from official identification agencies, we presented the current state of identity card issuance in Brazil. This process involves the work of official identification bodies and companies specialized in biometric systems, document production, and issuance. These are companies, whether Abrid members or not, that provide these services professionally and technically across the Federation Units through their own bidding processes.
Being at ITI with its new leadership gave me confidence in the future success of this organization. Once again, I sensed the commitment and seriousness of this new management, particularly their desire to strengthen ITI in technical matters, its core mission, and especially its new responsibilities regarding the Citizen Identification Service.
Here’s to the next 20 years of ITI’s success. I hope that, in the future, another signature will be added to the document I was honored to receive from former ITI directors, to whom I publicly express my gratitude for their recognition.
CIN, OUR GREATEST INSTRUMENT OF CITIZENSHIP
