It’s important to highlight the citizen registration process, which must be done securely, with technical identification principles, and with competent systems and professionals. This is why we support the role of Identification Institutes in this process, as they form the foundation of everything we aim to do in Brazil, increasing trust in the systems.
The CIN, far beyond a physical and digital document, is a new national identification system that will elevate Brazil to a higher level of security in identification, making it inclusive, improving public and private services, boosting our economy, and placing the citizen at the center of all public policies!

The lack of an official identity affects around 850 million people globally and is considered a barrier to financial inclusion, with 26% of adults without a bank account citing the lack of documentation as the main obstacle worldwide.
In Latin America, social programs during and after the Commodity Boom pushed forward advances in population identification, although challenges still remain.
In Asia and Africa, concerns about identification have grown in recent years.
India stood out with Aadhaar, a complete digital ecosystem that includes payment services and data sharing. In Kenya, Huduma Namba failed due to a lack of integration with other services and societal trust. In Brazil, the government has been unifying identity through the National Identity Card (CIN), adopting a platform-based government approach. Colombia and Mexico are also seeking modernization to boost the digital economy and combat fraud.
