Edmar Araujo becomes the Chief Operating Officer at InterID

The International Institute of Identification (InterID) has appointed Edmar Araújo as its Chief Operating Officer. As a result, the institute will have a professional available to coordinate activities, aligning them with its objectives, in addition to boosting InterID’s growth and visibility.

For the CEO of InterID, Célio Ribeiro, the arrival of Araújo will help in the institutional relationship and alignment with other players.

“Edmar is one of the most qualified professionals on the market. He has knowledge of all issues related to identification and a great relationship profile. He will be coordinating our activities and working on strategic alignment with public and private institutions. Certainly, a name of trust, which gives us peace of mind and conviction to continue our institutional growth”, he commented.

Edmar Araújo holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Communication (Journalism) and a postgraduate degree in Reading and Text Production from the Catholic University of Brasília. MBA in Digital Transformation and the Future of Business from PUC in Rio Grande do Sul, he was coordinator of Social Communication at the National Institute of Information Technology – ITI, a federal agency linked to the Civil House of the Presidency of the Republic, where he also served as substitute chief of staff , monitoring manager of the Citizen Information Service – SIC and Ouvidor between 2010 and 2018. He was executive president of the Association of Registration Authorities of Brazil (AARB) between 2018 and 2023 and member of the Management Committee of ICP-Brasil, collegiate which exercises the role of managing authority for digital certification policies in the country, between 2018 and 2022.
