FrenID and Digital Government Secretariat align strategies for CIN implementation

On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 27, the Mixed Parliamentary Front for Guaranteeing the Right to Identity (FrenID) met with the Digital Government Secretariat (SGD) to discuss the progress in the implementation of the National Identity Card (CIN) across the states. The meeting was marked by intense deliberations on coordinated actions between the front and the government, aiming to accelerate the expansion of the CIN in collaboration with local parliamentary representatives.

During the meeting, specific strategies were discussed to support the advancement of the CIN in the states, to which FrenID is committed to offering its support. Close interaction with the legislative bodies of these regions is seen as essential to ensure the project’s effectiveness and reach.

Célio Ribeiro, President of the International Institute of Identification (InterID) and Executive Secretary of FrenID, acknowledged the importance of this interaction between the powers to promote the successful implementation of the CIN across the country. “This meeting reinforces the mutual commitment to face challenges and move forward assertively to consolidate the National Identity Card as a significant milestone for Brazilian citizenship,” Ribeiro mentioned.
