The InterID congratulates the recent meeting of the G20 Digital Economy Working Group, led by the Ministry of Communications (MCom), and highlights the role of the Digital Government Secretariat/Ministry of Management and Innovation (SGD/MGI) in this context, reinforcing the importance of collaboration among different government sectors to promote broader and more meaningful social and digital inclusion.
The work being coordinated by the SGD within the framework of the new Identification System of the National Identity Card (CIN) is fundamental, through which we will provide each Brazilian with a secure, inclusive, and citizen-friendly identity.
In this context, secure and reliable identification emerges as a key pillar for promoting inclusion, not only in access to the internet but also in ensuring opportunities and reducing inequalities. Universal and meaningful connectivity, discussed in the meeting, is seen as the key to true global digital transformation, opening doors to new opportunities and contributing to a more inclusive society.
The InterID reaffirms its commitment to contribute to this process, understanding that identification is an essential step for social and digital inclusion, and emphasizing its role as an agent of transformation and digital inclusion worldwide.
The next steps in these discussions will be crucial to advancing this agenda, and the InterID looks forward to collaborating and promoting solutions that drive inclusion and digital transformation, aligning with the UN goal for 2030, where all people have access to civil identity (SDG 16).
