CIN on GOV.BR: Strengthening Digital Security and Efficiency

The National Identity Card (CIN) is becoming an essential milestone for security and convenience in accessing public services in Brazil. With approximately 6.5 million Brazilians already benefiting, the CIN plays a crucial role in strengthening digital signatures on GOV.BR, a platform that offers over 4,200 digital services.

The Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) has launched an informative video to guide users on how to use the CIN on GOV.BR. This process includes obtaining the digital version of the CIN through the GOV.BR app, allowing users to elevate the security level of their accounts to Gold status.

For Célio Ribeiro, Executive President of InterID: “The implementation of the CIN on GOV.BR represents a significant advancement in the security and efficiency of digital services, aligning with the objectives of inclusion and modernization of Brazilian digital government.” Ribeiro also emphasizes that “The CIN becomes our greatest instrument of digital citizenship, providing a safer and more efficient experience for all Brazilian citizens.”

The secure integration of data results in reduced fraud, improved administrative systems, and increased security in identification processes. These improvements reflect in more efficient public services, such as scheduling appointments in the Unified Health System (SUS), where identification data is available in real-time, facilitating access and the efficiency of care.
