It was published in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU) today (03/11) the appointment of Maurício Augusto Coelho to the position of Director of Identification Technologies at the National Institute of Information Technology (ITI), a Federal Autarchy linked to the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services.
For Célio Ribeiro, president of Abrid and InterID, Maurício Coelho will play a strategic role in improving and consolidating Brazil’s Identification System. “This is a great decision by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) in building this essential Identification System Structure in Brazil, led by the Secretariat of Digital Government (SGD),” he stated.
Maurício Coelho holds a degree in Production Engineering from FEI (1991) and is a career public servant with specializations in Electronic Government and Public Policy and Government Management. Over the past 20 years, he has been dedicated to formulating, regulating, implementing, and monitoring public policies focused on digital citizenship and projects aimed at modernizing and reducing bureaucracy in the federal public administration through electronic/digital public services. He has played a direct role in the implementation of electronic/digital services projects such as the SPED of the RFB/ME, Electronic Invoice of the ME, Social Connectivity of the CEF/ME, Electronic Petitioning of the Judiciary, PROUNI of the MEC, e-CAC of the RFB/ME, Electronic Official Gazettes of the National Press, Electronic Professional Identity Cards, Electronic Passport, SISCOMEX of the MDIC, DigiSUS Gestor MS, among others.
