The “Brazilian Identity Seminar – Governance and Legitimacy” takes place tomorrow, March 8, 2023, at 2 pm. The Seminar will be online, free and full of alternatives for the debate.
“I would say this will be a unique event. We have achieved a very expressive number of subscribers so far. In addition, several communication vehicles have highlighted the identity of Brazilians. An example of this was the Jornal Nacional, from Rede Globo, which made a report on the National Identity Card (CIN), while President Lula edited Decree 11429. adaptation period to the Identity Card standard. These events close to the Seminar reinforce our alignment with what is relevant in the universe of identification, making our debate current and representative”, celebrated the director-president of InterID, Célio Ribeiro.
The Seminar is supported by the Federal Government, by the Official Identification Bodies of the Federation Units and by 13 institutions representing organized civil society.
“A coalition of this size does not happen every day. I have always insisted that we need to be united for the project of Brazilian identity, one of the most effective social tools, and I realize that the Seminar works as a background for this objective. I anticipate our thanks to the institutions that have collaborated so far and I hope that the event is a success”, emphasized Ribeiro.
