On December 18th and 19th, Brasília hosted the official launch of the 2025 Digital Citizenship Congress, established as the largest event in the field of identification and citizenship in Brazil. Organized by ABRID – the Brazilian Association of Digital Identification Technology Companies, the launch included the official presentation of the event’s institutional proposal to several supporters.
Célio Ribeiro, Executive President of ABRID, officially presented the institutional proposal to the Ministry of Management and Innovation (MGI), represented by the Secretary of Digital Government (SGD), Rogério Mascarenhas.

The 2025 Digital Citizenship Congress is supported by several federal government institutions and promises to be a major gathering for identification and citizenship.
Regarding this year’s highlight, Célio Ribeiro stated:
“National Integration will be the main focus of the 2025 Digital Citizenship Congress. Our goal is to ensure that all Brazilians have access to secure and inclusive civil identification, connecting citizens to rights and services in an efficient and modern way.”
The launch marked the beginning of a journey that will culminate between September 23rd to 25th, 2025, in Brasília, with debates, panels, and practical demonstrations on the future of digital citizenship in Brazil.
